The Fast and the Furious: Too Hard

Funny how when people say they love too fast and too hard they are normally talking about relationships. Well this one is no different except the relationship I am speaking of now is a friendship. Now this may sound weird to some but for other it may be right on point!

You meet someone, yall vibe, yall exchange numbers, yall talk and see you have a lot in common, or hell sometimes not in common but the fact is yall get along. You make them smile and they make you smile. You see that you can talk to this person with comfort. They tell you things in their life. Next thing you know not everyday but more days than not, this person has become a part of your life! It is not a bad thing because you know this is a special kind of love! This is YOUR SOUL mate if you will, not of in LOVE but this is YOUR FRIEND. The universe was waiting for this moment to introduce you to someone who, no matter what u did you could talk to them about things.

BUT, this is where the relationship becomes reality, they had a life before you and ways that for some reason you missed. Now something happens and you feeling some-type-of way! but you know what. All is not lost just that bump in the road u have not experienced yet.

To those who I have done that too I am sorry! For those who have done it to me...I love you!

Good topic... its happened to me a couple times, met someone I was real cool with then they just disappeared like a stalker in the night. I just chalk it up to the fact some people are more loquacious than others. Where you had to be comfortable with them to open up they are that way with most people they meet. So on your side it seems as though you are making a deep spiritual bond to them they are just being friendly.

This something that happens in all relationships...its life! I think the best thing to understand is that achieving balance is very important in all relationships. It also helps you know ur friends and understand that certain needs and wants can't only be fulfilled by 1 friend...no matter how close the friendship!

I think this was right on point. I like this one guy because he is so perfect to me, that is, we have a lot in common, make each other smile, laugh etc. However, it is his idea that we are meant to be just friends. I don't like the idea, but I'm not going to be able to advance any further with him, and it would be a shame if we weren't friends because out of all of the people that we are around (we work together) only the two of us know a lot of what the other is talking about at times. Arg. Thanks for making me think.

very well written. this scenario is so true, because everyone has that certain experience(s) that ultimately molds who they are today. however, that is what friendship is all about, acceptinq someone for everythinq that they are and bein able to roll wit da punches...

reason, season, or lifetime...

I just enjoy the moment, most people aren't lifetimes no matter the strength of the connection

coming from someone who truly believes that my bestfriend is my soulmate... there are times when i thoroughly wanna slap the shit out of her... and i am sure she feels the same. we have had moments - days, weeks, YEARS when we didn't speak at all... but then we rally back and realize that our friwendship is greater than many constants in both of our lives... that bad times and good times are just as equally priceless.
