Not open but honest...

I am not DL and I am not a liar, I am not gonna wear it on a shirt, well maybe I will...lol. But, in all seriousness. I am a gay black male. By now I think you know this. If you follow my blog or my You Tube activities. I am really honest. What I am not is so much open.

you may be saying, umm dude what is the difference. I am glad you asked. Let's get to work.

Openly gay, and this is my lil opinion, will put his gayness in front of him. He/She defend in public the rights of gays.

Honestly gay, is on a need to know basis, he/She will not hide what they feel or how they feel. However, they will not broadcast it to those who don't need to know.

You may say who ever needs to know. Not all family needs to know. Not all co workers need to know, church and civil activities don't need to know.

Being gay in an honest person's life does not define them, guide them, nor do they wear it on their shoulder. This person is comfortable in their skin and when the need to defend themselves and what they do, they will.

This was really a special entry to me. I hope you enjoyed this!

well said young bruh!!! a lot of us r like that!! i think more so in our Black community because of our socialization with the 'Black Church experience' where everybody knows but doesn't speak on it openly i.e. Tonex (regardless of marriage).
